Superbowl Eve

On Saturday morning, we took a beautiful walk at my new favorite beach.

We saw surfers and dolphins chillin' out together.

I was so happy to see the giant coreopsis just starting to bloom.

I love the contrast in this picture.

Ahhhh.....so beautiful.

Okay, back to studying for my neuroscience test. "Cerebellum, reticular formation, medulla, pons, superior colliculus, inferior colliculus, hypothalamus, thalamus, corpus collosum........." Hey that was really helpful and I didn't even look at my notes!

Happy 2011!!!

I am so thankful for a new year!

2010 ended with a dinner with Cram from In-n-Out Burger, eaten at the harbor while enjoying the view of this beautiful tree! Then we went to the Lodge where the "boys" watched the movie Bullit and the "girls" played board games. We got home just before midnight and when the new year clicked over I happily changed the calendar to the new year.

Similar to New Year's Day last year I took a couple of bike rides, except this year they were both with Cram. We meant to only take one bike ride, by my tire started losing air and we had to turn around. We drove to the spot where we turned around and started again. It was beautiful and very cold and I'm still recovering!
I shared this message with many people via email, but I feel that is cannot be shared enough. My New Year's Resolution is to look forward to the future and not to dwell in any way on the past. I came across this video about Lot's wife in the Old Testament and I felt like it was made especially for me. LOOK NOT BEHIND THEE.

Happy New Year!

Birthday Fun

The month is almost over, but I thought I'd squeeze in a post about my birthday. I mostly wanted to thank my family for the two beautiful "Cakewrecks" they made for my day! They were so fun and I had a such a sugar high by the time I was done eating!

The beautiful flowers I received from my folks and from my "dubby" (which is how someone texted "hubby" to me recently) were so bright and cheery to me in my kitchen and made me smile!

I also wanted to share a fun pic of the tissue paper monster that crashed the birthday party!

All in all it was a pretty mellow day, which for most of it I watched General Conference and got recharged for the next six months! Here's to another new year!

New Home Page

I found this new website last week and thought it so beautiful that I made it my homepage. Now, when I go online I feel great peace before I do my schoolwork or business online. Click HERE to see it.

Airshow!

Last weekend we watched an airshow out at the end of a farm road and these are some of the views we saw. Above and below are "The Thunderbirds".

This was a simulated ground attack by an A-10.

The most impressive of all....a red balloon let go by a little kid. :)

Here is a C-17, such a huge aircraft and it was flying around like a small jet!
We also saw an F-18, but it was too fast for me to capture on film!
I think I passed the aircraft name test! I'm learning...slowly.
