On top of the refrigerator. Old ceramic bowls from my paternal grandmothers house, a metal flour canister from my great grandmother. A beverage cooler we found at a garage sale and the little green pitcher that was always used for maple syrup on Saturday mornings when I was growing up. Don't forget the "Wash Away your Sins" soap that we won at a "White Elephant" gift exchange!
The top of the new red microwave I received for Christmas. I've always loved vintage tins, although these are new recreations I still like the look.
Our dining room table is a place where I try to rotate items every month as centerpieces. I usually bring out any blue colored items in January to change from the Christmas red and green. Here is a beautiful bowl made in Japan that we received from a customer a couple of years ago as a Christmas present. It is flanked by little votive candles I purchased at Cost Plus World Market (one of my favorite stores). In the background are Fiestaware table salt and pepper shakers I received as a birthday gift from my brother and his wife.It's nice to have limited space so that I don't collect too much and can really focus on those treasures that are most precious to me.
