I sewed again and it wasn't too frustrating. I was rebellious about the sizes so I just cut the pattern to the size that I thought I should be, not the actual size I am so it fits pretty tight. The pattern also specifies a stretchy acrylic material, not cotton quilting material, but then again I've never been one to really follow directions. I might wear it this Sunday with an oversized shirt and I might get a photo of myself wearing it. We shall see.

A Kaffe Skirt
Here it is, the finished project.

Getting out the Kaffe fabric
I've been thinking about doing this for awhile, but yesterday I finally brought out the Kaffe Fassett fabric that I've had stashed under my bed for years. When I worked at the quilt store, these were some of my favorite designs. Between my dissatisfaction with that job and some other sewing mishaps, I have been very reluctant to sew again because it just brought back bad memories. Well I guess that 4 years is enough of a break. I wonder what ways I will find to use these fabrics? Stay tuned!
